Chuck Mitchell, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Chuck Mitchell is more than a podiatrist, he is a lifelong Chicagoan with a passion for keeping his community on its feet. After earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he graduated cum laude from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where his training centered on both surgical precision and long-term foot health.
As chief resident during his surgical training at Edgewater Medical Center, Dr. Mitchell sharpened his skills while mentoring future doctors. That same spirit of teaching continues today through his work with students and residents at Mercy Hospital and the former Michael Reese Hospital.
His Hyde Park office, located near the University of Chicago, has been a trusted destination for expert foot and ankle care for years. From stubborn bunions to ruptured tendons, Dr. Mitchell treats it all, surgically or not, depending on what gets you back to doing what you love.

Jeremy Cowan, DPM
Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Jeremy Cowan brings heart, experience, and deep roots to his podiatric practice. He began his academic journey in psychology and pre-med at Northeastern Illinois University before earning his podiatric medical degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery. He went on to complete his residency at the renowned Cook County Hospital, one of Chicago’s premier training institutions.
For the past two decades, Dr. Cowan has been a steady presence in the Chatham neighborhood, providing compassionate and comprehensive foot care to patients across the South Side. Known for his thoughtful approach and clinical expertise, he is especially attuned to the needs of elderly patients and those managing diabetes, ensuring their feet receive the extra attention they deserve.
Dr. Cowan is fluent in English and Spanish and proudly serves his community with care that is both personal and precise.
